BIOGRAPHY
Oscar
B. was born in 1960 in Paris, but it is in Nantes that he will live
most of his existence. In love with this port city to the industrial
atmospheres, with the colours gray and rust, the chaotic climates, it
will be the discussion thread of its creation.
Since 1980, is its artistic course, a voyage, sometimes a wandering,
between the Rock'n'roll? electro-industrialist? , photography, numerical
art, the drawing and painting, always in search of a demolition site,
a ruin, a waste land of a scrap heap rusted with for objective: a
poetic rebuilding of the city.
To survive in this metal jungle, Oscar B. will be successively: deliveryman
in medicinal products, pump assistant of night, workman in a metallurgy
factory, computer graphics expert, blood product conveyor, landscape
designer, assistant sound engineer, technician at CNRS with Orsay, civil
servant at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Minister of education
main road in Paris etc . These multiple experiments will contribute
to anchor the artistic work of Oscar B. in reality.
In 2005, the artist returns to the source while devoting himself primarily
to painting.
